Med Surg Solutions launched its fiscal year 2019 – 2020 in Al-Barouk, Lebanon. The “Back to Roots” annual meeting included team building activities, and business strategy presentations. Dr. Saed Saghieh, Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center AUBMC, has also conducted several clinical training to enhance further our team expertise. Highlighted event was planting an MSS Cedar tree in the Shouf Biosphere Reserve Barouk Forest. “By adopting a Cedar, you are not just planting a tree, you are investing in the future of a beautiful country”.

In view of the company vision to develop and train the team, an intensive workshop was conducted in our office in Riyadh with M.C.A. People Solutions. MSS in collaboration with Hassan Chaker (John Maxwell Trainer), invited the sales team to this training as part of a learning and development program in building sales efficiency.

It is with great pleasure that Med Surg Solutions has welcomed surgeons for the Gulf region to enroll at its Academy for Continuing Education, providing them the opportunity to get certified in metabolic and bariatric surgery from both renowned university hospitals of ULB and GHH. This certificate program serves to recognize surgeons who have completed their training and who have met the educational requirements needed to practice safe and effective bariatric surgery; it hence added merit to surgeons by emphasizing their ability to adequately perform metabolic and bariatric surgery. The process started with several hands-on training and live cases in Brussels, Belgium with Professor Bernard Bokobza and Professor Jean Closset at Hôpital Erasme ULB. This certificate is extended to the surgeons’ hospitals that will also be accredited and recognized by ULB and GHH as renowned Saudi centers of excellence in metabolic and bariatric surgery.

Leadership development training has a place of great importance at MSS. The training designed by M.C.A. People Solutions for MSS leaders, was about giving them the tools and expert knowledge to lead and influence their teams effectively in order to achieve the organizations’ goals.

Med Surg Solutions, Gore authorized distributor, was a proud sponsor of PAIRS International Congress that was held in Dubai from February 27th till March 2nd, 2019. During congress, MSS, has launched its Conformable GORE® TAG ® Thoracic Endoprosthesis Stent Graft with new ACTIVE CONTROL delivery system, providing control and predictable placement of the stent for TEVAR. Gore Medical Mastery Series hands-on simulations for virtual training took place at the booth for engaging and interactive sessions whereby doctors would gain deeper insight into device design. In addition to the simulator workshop, MSS has organized a lunch symposium and TEVAR live showcase of the new endovascular device. The live case was broadcasted live from King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh, KSA. Dr. Faris Al Omran, Vascular Surgeon Consultant, and Dr. Shagran Bin Khamis, Interventional Radiologist Consultant have successfully extended the new aortic treatment to their patient. Session was moderated by Dr. Mathias Wilhemi, Vascular Surgeon at Hannover Medical School, Germany.
