It is with great pleasure that Med Surg Solutions has welcomed surgeons for the Gulf region to enroll at its Academy for Continuing Education, providing them the opportunity to get certified in metabolic and bariatric surgery from both renowned university hospitals of ULB and GHH. This certificate program serves to recognize surgeons who have completed their training and who have met the educational requirements needed to practice safe and effective bariatric surgery; it hence added merit to surgeons by emphasizing their ability to adequately perform metabolic and bariatric surgery. The process started with several hands-on training and live cases in Brussels, Belgium with Professor Bernard Bokobza and Professor Jean Closset at Hôpital Erasme ULB. This certificate is extended to the surgeons’ hospitals that will also be accredited and recognized by ULB and GHH as renowned Saudi centers of excellence in metabolic and bariatric surgery.
