Med Surg Solutions Hosts Vantive’s General Manager for Middle East & Africa, Reinforcing Strategic Partnership with Baxter International

Beirut, Lebanon – April 2025 — In a significant step toward deepening collaboration and advancing access to world-class renal care across the region, Med Surg Solutions (MSS) welcomed Krzysztof Poplawski, General Manager for the Middle East and Africa Kidney Care Business at Vantive, a newly launched kidney care company part of Baxter International Inc.

The visit, which brought together key leadership from both sides, served as a platform to reflect on the long-standing partnership between MSS and Baxter - and more importantly, to explore new avenues of growth and innovation that align with MSS’s long-term commitment to elevate healthcare delivery across the GCC and MENA regions.

Mr. Poplawski was hosted by Dr. Fadi Mahmoud, CEO of Med Surg Solutions, alongside Nazih Mahmoud, Director of Marketing and Product Management, Jad Raad, Finance Director, Adele Jamaleldine, Procurement and Supplier Relationship Manager; Lara Keyrouz, CEO Office Manager, and Zakaria Chouman, ME&A Head of Finance at Baxter.

The discussions focused on reinforcing MSS’s role as a regional bridge, connecting global medical advancements to the dynamic and fast-evolving needs of the local healthcare landscape. As Baxter's former kidney care division transitions into Vantive, MSS reaffirmed its role as a strategic channel partner, committed to ensuring seamless continuity, innovation adoption, and patient-centered impact.

“This meeting was more than a courtesy visit, it was a strategic dialogue,” said Dr. Fadi Mahmoud. “We see this partnership not just as a product collaboration, but as a joint mission to bring the best of global kidney care to the hands of the region’s leading healthcare providers.”

Mr. Poplawski echoed the sentiment, highlighting the GCC’s growing importance in the global kidney care space. “Med Surg Solutions continues to be a critical partner for our business in the region,” he noted. “Their insight, reach, and long-term commitment to quality make them an ideal collaborator as we build the future of Vantive.”

As a symbolic gesture of appreciation and long-term partnership, Dr. Fadi Mahmoud presented Mr. Poplawski with a Cedar Adoption Certificate through the “Adopt A Cedar Tree” Program at the Shouf Biosphere Reserve in Lebanon, part of our CSR initiatives and activities. The Lebanese Cedar, a national emblem of endurance and legacy, was planted in his name, marking a shared commitment to sustainability, growth, and meaningful roots in the region. This act reflected the deeper values uniting both organizations: cultivating partnerships that are not only strategic, but lasting and purposeful.

For over a decade, MSS has worked closely with Baxter Renal Department (now Vantive) to deliver cutting-edge dialysis and renal technologies, empower medical professionals through clinical education, and support national healthcare systems with tailored solutions. With Vantive’s emergence, the partnership enters a new phase, fueled by shared values, mutual trust, and an aligned vision for the future.

At its core, the visit reinforced MSS’s mission: to serve as the trusted regional hub for global healthcare innovation. “We don’t just distribute products,” added Nazih Mahmoud. “We deliver solutions, build ecosystems, and support the transformation of care.”

As Med Surg Solutions continues to expand its footprint across the region, the partnership with Vantive stands as a cornerstone - grounded in trust, driven by purpose, and designed to create life-long impact in the healthcare systems of the MENA and GCC.
